Dave Kaberry


Dave is 54 years of age, and a Building and Civil engineering contractor. He started gliding with the Air Cadets, and flew Microlights until attaining his PPL (A) in 1983. He flew only straight & level for 18 months in a Stampe SV4 until pressure and criticism from friends persuaded him to try aerobatics. The experience of a bad instructor frightened him so much that he resolved to teach himself and has been flying aerobatics 'properly' for some 8 years. He has represented Britain on three previous occasions, at the Advanced World Aerobatics in South Africa in 1995, at again in Kansas in 1997 and in Slovenia in 1998. Dave flew a Zlin 50LX for a few years, now has a CAP-231EX and rumour has it is waiting for the CIVA advanced eligibility rules to change....
