Guy Westgate is 29, single, and lives near Horsham in Surrey. He is a
professional pilot and flies Boeing 737's for British Airways, based in Gatwick. Guy
started gliding at the age of 18 and in 1991 he was Junior British Soaring Champion. In
1995, he entered the FAI and Guinness book of records, together with his brother Richard
when they achieved the fastest height gain and the absolute distance records in Tandem
Paragliding, in the Kalahari desert, Africa. Guy is also a very keen photographer and
writer, having contributed several articles to PILOT magazine and other publications.
