Patrick Williams
UK Advanced Aerobatic Champion 1996
A hard man to pin down,
Patrick is an elusive member of the BAeA. Single, and thought to be around 38 yrs. old in
1998, he is a specialist in derivatives trading, and lives in the centre of London.
He shuns the limelight and prefers to start from behind the judges, letting his 2-seater
SU-29 do all the talking . In a previous career, he was an avionics systems
specialist, and also a keen hang glider pilot. After gaining his PPL (A), he flew a wide
range of aircraft, including multi engine types. A few years ago he spent a fruitful and
timely exited period, trading derivatives in S.E. Asia and on his return to the UK
acquired a Sukhoi SU-29. Thus Patrick entered the low flying world of Aerobatics, and in
1996 became the UK Advanced Champion. In the following year he represented Britain at the
Advanced World Championships in Kansas, and in 1998 will represent Britain at unlimited
level in the World Aerobatic Championships in Trencin, Slovakia.
If ever you want to find Patrick, look over your shoulder and just above the
hedgerow !
