The McLean and Kernow Trophies - 1999
The weather fought us all weekend
- but perseverance and endurance won
and everyone who made it to Welshpool through the rain and frontal gloom
got to do their thing. Alan Cassidy ran the show, Angela Cassidy and
Jen Buckenham administered the computer and registration bureaux, Bob
Oliver (Saturday) and Ben Ellis (Sunday) ruled the judging line, and the
good ladies of Mid-Wales Airport probably sold more bacon butties, cake
and tea than even they had thought possible. It was one of those contests...
