The UK Meteorological Office. UK TAF's and METAR's, F214
& 215 charts, surface pressure, AIRMET, global 5-day forecasts
etc.. You will need to register at the first use (this is free)

XC-Weather
Much used by the glider fraternity, an excellent way to
find the current wind, temperature, dew-point, visibility, pressure and general weather
situation around Britain and France |
SkyLink Weather Site
A really informative site with excellent graphics, TAF's, METARS, Europe
charts, and lots of other useful
info. Linked to the SkyView Systems Weather Products shop with meteo
etc. |
AvBrief
Flight Briefing Services for Pilots. TAF's and METAR's are free,
lots of other
items by subscription |
Meteox
A Netherlands web with excellent satellite based weather
overlays to many European countries. You can also click their Google
Earth link to transfer all this onto their global graphics for a much
wider view. |

Dawes-Gamble's Aviation Information and Weather Pages
You must
register (no fee) for this very comprehensive site, for which you
receive a user-name and password. |
The BBC weather forecast
Select "Coast and Sea" and then "Atlantic Pressure" for instance to get to
a page which gives full colour / quick to load / 5 days worth / pressure synoptics / winds / summaries / temperatures
etc.. |
Pilot Magazine
Provides links to many weather sites, plus of course
details of their venerable monthly publication and lots of other light
aviation related matters of interest.

Weather Channel
Domestic rather than aeronautical, however
the link above gets you to a list of UK and European
airports for a 10-day forecast. Very useful during
the week before the competition! |

Weather Underground
Regional map for all major countries of the world with
visibility, temperature, wind, humidity etc. and in many cases a 5-day

NOAA Weather
Service
US based. Does world-wide weather reports by airfield,
including TAF's and METAR's, together with recent weather summaries etc. |
Météo France
A really excellent site (in French.....) with satellite pictures and also forecasts of the expected
chart for noon the next day, this link starting with the UK general
weather |
Theyr.net Weather Forecast
Comprehensive weather gathering site for Europe, Canada and America,
giving wind, clouds, temperature and precipitation as required. |
