Golding-Barrett & Duxford, 2016 results

Despite being scheduled during the height of our English summer, the weather defeated our best efforts to contest the Golding Barrett and Duxford trophies at Sleap this weekend. The cloud base never rose above 2,500’ AGL and we were treated to intermittent rain and the tantalising hope that some of the gaps in the cloud might be large enough to complete some competition flights. Alas is was not to be and we were never even able to start a competition sequence.

Our thanks, as ever, to the most hospitable team at Sleap for making us so welcome and to the long list of volunteers who spent their weekend drinking cups of tea and looking skyward whilst getting soggy.
